The Blue Springs Runner's Winter Series starts Nov. 6th and runs every other weekend until Feb. 19, 2010. I believe the cost is $25.00, but I will check on that. This very small fee covers benefits such as: companions to run with in the bitter Kansas City winter, water at 5, 10 and 20K turnarounds and snacks and hot coffee at the finish and... a gift sure to please. (please submit any great ideas you may have for the gift) And again this year, we LOVE to spread around all the cheer that you can stand by asking for volunteers to host a Winter Series Saturday. I have listed the Winter Series dates below. The ones with no names are open for a very special host, that is you!

Vance and I will assist you in picking up all the necessary items, signs, water jugs, coffee pots, etc. Coffee, snacks and bagels are nice, and the cost is refundable by the club. All you have to do is come out a little early and put out the water and signs, be at the start to greet runners and to help with snacks when they return. If you share the hosting duties, you can usually get a run or walk in too.
